MEET OUR TEAM
Marissa Miller, LPC
I’m Marissa – a supportive therapist passionate about helping children, teens, and their families feel more connected, confident, and understood. I value building strong, trusting relationships and strive to meet each client with curiosity, compassion, and presence. With a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a background in behavioral health, human development, and family studies, I bring a holistic, developmentally informed lens to my work.
How Can I Support You?
Children: I help children develop emotional regulation, behavioral flexibility, and self-awareness through an approach that honors both the body and the brain. Using Synergetic Play Therapy, I support kids in processing anxiety, anger, transitions, and big feelings—while guiding them in building a deeper connection to themselves. I also work closely with caregivers, offering strategies for co-regulation and strengthening the parent-child relationship.
Teens: Adolescence is a time of rapid change, and I provide a space where teens can safely explore their identity, relationships, and emotions. I support teens facing stress, anxiety, mood shifts, self-esteem challenges, school issues, and family conflict, always centering their voice and autonomy in the process.
Parents: Parenting can be deeply rewarding—and incredibly challenging. I offer parent coaching grounded in attachment-based principles and tools from the Circle of Security™ Parenting framework to help caregivers understand and respond to their child’s needs with greater confidence and connection. By exploring behavior through the lens of nervous system regulation, emotional attunement, and secure attachment, I help parents shift from feeling stuck or overwhelmed to feeling more empowered and effective in their role. Together, we’ll develop practical strategies that support your child’s emotional development and bring more ease into daily parenting.
Families: I support families in creating more peace and connection at home by improving communication, building emotional understanding, and strengthening relationships. My approach helps families move from reactivity to responsiveness—fostering a more regulated, connected dynamic.
I strive to create a warm, judgment-free space where kids feel safe expressing themselves, teens feel empowered to explore who they are, and parents feel supported in their caregiving roles. My approach is grounded in connection, developmental attunement, and nervous system-informed care. Whether we’re addressing behavioral concerns, anxiety, emotional sensitivity, or family stress, my goal is to help each person feel seen, understood, and capable of growth.
I believe every child and family has innate strengths—and that therapy is a space to rediscover those strengths and build resilience. It’s an honor to walk alongside you and your family in this journey of healing and connection.
If you're looking for support for your child, teen, or family, I'm here to help. Reach out today to schedule a consultation and take the next step in your family’s healing journey.
